Choosing
a company for your special event.
I know there are
numerous companies in the Huntsville, Madison and Athens areas. When you
are trying to make a decision about which company to use ask yourself
these questions.
- Does the company have good
references from other organizations like yours?
- How many years has this
company been in business? (very important)
- What kind of selection does
this company have for me to choose from? Is it truly a one-stop shop?
- Does this company sub-rent
items they do not own from other larger companies in the area? (Insurance
companies will not cover sub-renting of equipment)
- Do they deliver and set
up? Is there an extra charge for this service?
- Do they offer volume discounts?
Does this company have list prices or do they just say they will undercut
others prices? ( you will usually get what you pay for )
- Will this company come and
do a site survey and not charge me?
- I have saved the most important
question for last, Does this company have insurance?
Will they give me a certificate of insurance, if I ask?)
Insurance has become the single greatest business expense to companies
in the party business. So expensive that many companies are deciding
to operate without insurance. This is why small at home companies are
able to cut prices, but you must first ask yourself, is it worth it?
What will happen if one of your guests has a serious injury?
